Wüste Zukunft

VR-Film (2020) //

The 360° video work invites viewers on a walk through our possible futures. While the visuals lead through sand worlds and projections, the journey is accompanied by a dystopian composition and follows essayistic words and thoughts. Drawing from current struggles such as the resistance against the clearing of Hambach Forest, the Fridays for Future movement, and the outrage over an episode of the Netflix series „Our Planet,“ the immersive short film experience transports viewers into a desert world of the future. Premiered as a shutdown special of Ballhaus Ost at the Haus der Statistik in July 2020.

A collaboration with Alisa Tretau, Anne Brammen, and Kenji Tanaka. With the support of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe.
